Overview
In the ever-evolving financial landscape, cryptocurrency has emerged as a disruptive asset class with immense potential. However, for many individuals, the complexities and risks associated with cryptocurrency can be daunting, deterring them from entering the market. Asan Trade, an innovative online exchange, aims to bridge this gap by providing a user-friendly platform that seamlessly integrates with traditional exchanges, allowing users to access the benefits of cryptocurrency without the hassle.
Project Background and Goals
Asan Trade was designed to address the challenges faced by traditional exchanges in offering cryptocurrency to their customers. Traditional exchanges often have limited knowledge and expertise in cryptocurrency, making it difficult for them to navigate the complex regulatory and technological landscape. Asan Trade aims to fill this gap by providing a turnkey solution for traditional exchanges, enabling them to offer cryptocurrency to their customers without the need for in-house expertise.
My Role
My role as a UX Designer on the Asan Trade project involved designing the user flows and interactions that would define the customer experience for both public users and exchange users. My primary objective was to create a platform that was both intuitive and secure, catering to users with varying levels of cryptocurrency knowledge.
User Flows and Interactions
The Asan Trade platform comprises a series of user flows and interactions that guide users through various tasks, such as signing up, buying and selling cryptocurrency, and checking prices.
Signup Flow
The signup flow is designed to be a seamless process that welcomes users into the Asan Trade platform. The flow begins by verifying the user's phone number to ensure their legitimacy. Then, users are prompted to select their user type – either "Public User" or "Exchange User" – each with its unique set of functionalities.
- Public User: Public users can sign up directly using their phone number and email address. They can then create an account and start buying and selling cryptocurrency.
- Exchange User: Exchange users must first submit their credentials to Asan Trade for approval. Once approved, they can create an exchange landing page and manage their cryptocurrency offerings.
Buying and Selling Currency Flows
The buying and selling currency flows are designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, allowing users to navigate the cryptocurrency market with ease.
- Buying Currency: The buying currency flow guides users through the process of purchasing cryptocurrency. For transactions above 10,000 USDT, a phone call mechanism is implemented for additional verification. For transactions below 10,000 USDT, users can choose between cash payments at the exchange and online payments.
- Selling Currency: The selling currency flow is similar in structure, allowing users to sell their cryptocurrency holdings. The flow provides real-time price updates and guides users through the process of selecting their desired currency and completing the sale.
